Ideas to improve A-N?

Post by James » April 19th, 2007, 4:13 pm

If we were to be doing stuff to update Animated News, what kind of things would you like to see? (BTW - we may not respond to your ideas in order to not give anything away, but we are reading them!)

Ah, where to start?!

*calming down*

Well, I know the Blue backround is a go, so.... Gah, I can't think of anything. :(

Wait, what about renaming "Internet" to "Off Topic"? I never cared for the name, so maybe I'm not alone?

Oh, what about a "Polls & Game" section? We have a few polls and games, so that would be cool.

More smilies? Character smilies?

I'll try to keep thinking, but I hope others suggest great ideas, too!

I'm so exited! :D

Well, I know the Blue backround is a go, so.... Gah, I can't think of anything. Sad

Can't wait for this!!!!! :D

Also, I don't know if you need copyright permission for this, but how about some Disney (or perhaps other studios') characters on the front page? :)

More smilies? Character smilies?

YES!!!!! That would be so cool. More animated emoticons. :o

How about some of the ones from IMDB? Don't they have the same code as the ones here? Or similar?

BTW, Animation Nation also changed their look a little--a little, not much.

I'm to curious about this. GAC has them, and I think they give credit, but I'm not really sure.

Ditto! Image
(Aww, it means nothing, but he's so cute!)

*********************************

And here's a few more ideas;

- take away post count? I don't really like this idea, but other forums have it.

- change user colors? I doubt this would happen, but it would be cool if we could pick the color we wanted!

- gender icons? Not really needed, but would be a neat little feature.

- the abilty to change our user titles? Instead of saying "Member" we could fill the gap with whatever we wanted. Like for me, "Sequel Lover" or something. ;)

- little icons near our names when its a holiday? Like Halloween, a pumpkin, Thankgiving a turkey. December could be little Christmas trees, draidles etc...

And..... That's all I can think of at the moment. :P

I like the puke-tan though...:(

Maybe we could have a little mascot or something -just a cartoon character or whatever on the front page. Ooh, and hold a contest for the design? :)

Yes, think more about the front page. The forum is secondary at the moment. :)

... if we were doing something, hypothetically speaking of course. Not that we're planning anything. Let's not get into speculation and innuendo. Yeah, that's the ticket!
