wow that must have taken a loooong time to do.
I was working on a stop motion video about a year ago, but i quit because it took WAYYY to long and i was soooo busy at the time. I only got like 1/2 a scene finished. Maybe i will start it again once i'm not as busy.

The technique is actually known as "Pixellation", where you use real people in a non-real time, animated format (also hence why the "cast" were described as Pixels).

But that is genious - and so well done. I love the flashing when the "ship" takes a hit.

Apparently there's a Pong one as well, according to the feedback, but I didn't have time to check it out.

Good find, James! :)

Not as funny as the Space Invaders, and I was expecting a left to right kind of play.

But still, a LOT of planning and work to make something like that so long. :)

They are both rather clever. Yeah, I was expecting a left to right playing field. Oh well. Still looked good!

A pair of funny clips - Monty Python Star Trek!?!?!??

Post by Ben » August 2nd, 2006, 6:06 pm

Someone sent me this today, perhaps the most brilliant and funny thing I have ever seen in this mis-mash way.

Star Trek does Monty Python's "Knights Of The Round Table" song, excellently edited and matched up:

The shots are so spot on and the end is hysterical - I actually nearly died choking with laughter!

On hunting around the same site, I found a lot of it was either ripped off stuff or fairly crude, but this I thought was another stroke of genius:

Great stuff, and both made me laugh, but that Python/Trek thing is a certified classic. :)

Those videos were really funny, Ben. Thanks for sharing them with us.

I saw another mis-mash video the other day that I thought was pretty funny. It mixes the classic "Who's on first?" bit with a couple of well-known Star Wars characters:
