Wow...Universal got lured in to the dollars and Oscar success on a DWA film after all! I wonder if this will need to be released by Fox (as in a usual sequel, spinoff or remake clause) or if Uni has resecured all (domestic, at least) rights?

I do hope Uni will eventually be able to let any other licenses lapse and bring all the DWA films under one roof. Even if combined wit Illumination down the line, it'd be cool to know all the DWA films are "together" again.

The news was shared on Universal's Facebook page as well. Seems Fox would at least have to play some role, though.

Box Office Mojo reports that Spark opens...April 14th. That's really, really soon, but they have it listed as a wide release now.

Haha..."Space Chump"...!?

With this and Logan both in theaters, we truly do see The Two Faces Of Patrick Stewart. ;)

So, BlueSky's Ferdinand really is a thing after all?
(checks date)
December 15, 2017? Oh, wait the 8th is the annual Weekend of Death. :P Let's see if it breaks Princess & the Frog's record.

And same week as Star Wars: Last Jedi--Well, at least it's not a week before...
IMDb wrote:After Ferdinand, a bull with a big heart, is mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure.
Um...That's not what I remember from the Disney version. :?

I must admit that although the story was obviously going to be stretched, I was disappointed that the teaser didn't show the film to be a period piece.

Ballerina is due on DVD & Blu in France, next week .. I'm kinda tempted to just go the import route, with this one.

The delays for Leap! have me convinced the Weinsteins are tinkering at 'Doogal' levels .. I skipped that one in U.S. theaters, and imported The Magic Roundabout on DVD from the UK, instead.

And is "Ralph Breaks the Internet" now the official subtitle (or foretitle)?

Yes.

I'm assuming it's "backwards" because Ralph has "broken" it?

Remember the rule: If you haven't heard of it, it has animals or fairytale characters, has B-list stars, an independent release company, and sounds unmarketably bizarre and inane (a single goose has to help two ducklings migrate)...
(checks IMDb)
...Hmm, China--Looks like they're trying to get another new studio started!
