Okay: It's a series that every stateside importer wanted to get in on since it consciously looked "American" enough to be a breakout cable-marketing hit, but Netflix already grabbed the series. Disney had to take what was left, to be trendy.

As for the series itself, I can't say, as I have a deep traumatic terror of French animation that dates back to the 70's. I've still hesitated to watch "Leap", and trying to get back on the horse with "A Monster in Paris" didn't end well.

Ladybug is on disney plus in most countries. America is one of the few places in the world it is not on.

My niece loves leap by the way.

Not sure, could have been a Disney acquisition all along, around the time Netflix was getting other Disney cable shows (eg. Goldie & Bear), and, like some SW and Marvel titles, Netflix licenses may not have expired yet.
The DTV features only came up after D+, so there was no need to keep the former Netflix deal going.

Neat. mouseketeers at walt disney world includes the original broadcast commercials! Even after the end titles there is a ad! Coke cola, nine lives and more!

A few other disneyland episodes has a ad or two also. One has a black in white car ad!

Neat disney left those in.

Sorta, they're animated shorts that usually air during commercial breaks on Disney XD. Here's one:

Mulan heading to disney plus. And you have to pay $30 to watch it! Yes disney plus is putting a movie behind a paywall like vudu and itunes on disney plus. You can guess how ticked the fans are.

Put it on amazon and vudu like scoob. If they start locking movies behind a paywall on disney plus lots of people are going to be ticked. Plus if this is a hit netflix may do it next then hbo max, then boomerang, then---

And only because, like Aladdin and Lion King after Dumbo, it was one of the three Expensive live-actions that "had" to play theaters to recoup its budget. (Pref. Chinese ones.)
Marvel's Black Widow is rumored to be next, and...ohh, poor New Mutants has become a fan betting pool at this point.

Fortunately, seems to be only Trolls, Scoob, Spongebob and cheap horror films that have been selling on "Exclusive premiere", so Disney's not out for the moment.
