It's kinda interesting that there's two versions of the Hocus Pocus blu available at the same time. Granted, it's Halloween and all, I'm just saying.

Yeah, and a big points difference. But the first is barebones, the second has minor supplements.

I was tempted to get the barebones, just to use my points, but I can't say I'm really interested in seeing it. I've never seen it before, though. But it's on D+ if I really want to check it out.

Oh, Rand, don’t. Save points for when something decent comes along. I’ve never understood the appeal of this film. It just doesn’t have any magic to it. Of course there’s the temptation to collect Disney films, but this is about as magic free as they come and tries to make up for it by having three otherwise perfectly fine actresses mugging their way through an embarrassing script directed by an off-day (does he really ever have an "on day"?) Kenny Ortega. There’s maybe one fairly decent Midler song moment, but you can check it out on D+ for tha!

In other words, more 90's Disney Nostalgia by the DVD Generation, but since I haven't seen "Cool Runnings", "Journey of Natty Gann" or any of the Mighty Ducks movies, I can't make any jokes about those. (I did get halfway through "Muppet Treasure Island", though.)
If you don't understand why I hate the generational fascination with Lion King, maybe now a little perspective makes sense.

Let's just say, there are "unfairly persecuted" 90's movies that have since made good, like Hercules, and there were early-90's Disney movies--from the days when Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures were still cranking them out on a sausage grinder--that deserved all the critical pastings they got.

Natty Gann was the 80s. Good flick, too.

Dan...thanks!

Wonder if any nuts out there are collecting all the Hocus Pocuses? Even one would be one too much for me...! ;)

Thanks for the extras Dan!

Quite tempted on Jungle 3D, but I know I’ll end up getting the inevitable 4K disc whenever it comes along, so...
