Nice James! You have put in words largely what I was attempting to get across in fits and starts above, though without blowing spoilers ("wait, he’s dead!? Huh, it’s all a dream!?)

or saying too much before too many people have seen it.
I loved New York and the voices too, for their natural feel, particularly Foxx as Floyd Norman — anyone else not think he was based on him, especially given the hat!?

Just remembered the cowboy dance everybody hated from the trailer... they cut it from the final film.

Think that was just a trailer gag, like Mike & Sulley making a wrong turn at Mongolia, or Mater saying "I done killed a baby bumblebee!"
Didn't help my expectations for this movie, though...

When I really think about it this might be my favorite Pete Docter film.

I see that people say it's going to be released on 4K\Blu-ray in April, nothing official though. Hopefully it's true.

Yeah...I think Docter has mentioned he can’t wait for people to be able to check it out in 4K on disc. There wasn’t a date, but if Disney stick to the basic release patterns then late March or April sounds about right. Cool!

Xactly. There’s a steelbook variant, but it uses the one with Joe very small at the top of the key "stairs". I prefer the D+ version which is the same background but him in closeup with the other characters sitting on the title logo's L. Made for disc art!

I know why, but too bad this never got a 3D version done.
I got that Steelbook version ordered right away!

Looks like Soul got nominated for 2 Golden Globes: Best Animated Feature and Best Original Score. What do you guys think? I thought it would make it to the Best Movie Comedy like other animated features have done in the past (although I liked Onward better)
