Which Oscar-eligible song would you like to see nominated?

Post by Josh »

Out of the tunes, from animated movies, eligible for this year's Oscar's Best Original Song category, which would you most like to see get nominated?

Believe it or not, my pick might be "One Little Slip" from Chicken Little. Yes, the song is similar to "Accidentally in Love" from Shrek 2. However, lyrics like "It was a fusion of confusion with a few confounding things" kind of charm me. :)

The only one I can even remember right now is "One Little Slip." I've seen all the other movies except for Hoodwinked . . . but that'll change in a few hours.

"Shoulder to Shoulder" was a very good song. It moved me. I'm not quite sure why, but it did.

I know it's not animated, but I loved "Can't Take it in" from Narnia.

The fact that One Little Slip is the only one I can still remember (eventhough I only heard it in the movie) is telling me it's probaply catchier than the others. Therefore I voted for that one.

None of those songs come to mind!

As with most movies this year, 2005 wasn't very memorable in a lot of ways...

From this list, I'd choose One Little Slip, but I'd really like Can't Take It In to win (from Narnia). Also, from the aforementioned link, you can also download the complete songs (for free). From that link, you can hear/download the 2 songs from Narnia, the song from CL & the one from Pooh.

Just wanted to say that I just saw "Hoodwinked" and I liked that song that Anne Hathaway sang.

"Great Big World" was good, but there were a couple of other songs from that movie that were better. Either the Academy goofed in ignoring the other songs or Weinstein Co. goofed by not submitting them. "Be Prepared" was the best song in the show, and "Red Is Blue" was really good too.

hehe -- actually this is one category where I won't be routing for the animated features in hopes that the award goes to "So Long and Thanks for All the Fish" from "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" :D
"We're Dead! We're Dead! We Survived but We're Dead!!!" -Dash- "The Incredibles"

Good call.

I can't remember any of the animated film songs this year, but "So Long..." was very funny in an excellent movie.
