Re: The Simpsons
Neither is Marge. But Maggie is, natch!
You know what might be a cool one-off? And something that may have even been done, but I don’t follow the show anymore, so I don’t know, but…
What if they did an episode/special one time where, due to an alternate universe thingy, we saw The Simpsons if they had grown up in realtime over the years? So the older characters woild be dead, or hooked up to life-prolonging systems as per Mr Burns wishes, Homer and Marge would be grandparent ages, and Bart is all grown up and has probably turned his life around, being a succes in sports or something, Lisa is a mom with bratty kids even though she’s a musical success, and Maggie is just trying to start a family (maybe with some heartbreak there). Has that ever been done, seeing the family and other characters in an alternate timeline where they actually have aged year on year? I’d find that quite fascinating!
(Now Vi and Dan link to an entire show where this happened in 2014 or something…)

Hahaha... of course they have! Multiple times actually. One of my faves is "Holidays of Future Passed". Probably the one that most matches what you outlined, with a few differences. On the bottom of the link, there's a whole list of episodes that are set in the future. Simpsons did it!

Re: The Simpsons
Holidays of Future Past was so good that many felt it should've ended the series.

Re: The Simpsons
Now that’s one I should definitely see. Very curious I’ll admit.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Thanks, Dan!
Some interesting Simpsons news from Comic-Con: Kristen Bell to star in special episode!

Also, Halloween episode XXXII to be “revamped”: five episodes instead of the usual three.

Re: The Simpsons
She sounds nothing like Marge, so maybe that's the joke here?

Five segments!? It already feels like four with the couch gag.

Oddly enough the character died ages ago. RIP.
