You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Re: Batman: The Animated Series
This is a shocker, absolutely. Just sad and way too young,
Very cool that he was Batman (in waiting) with Robin, and Superman in the mix, too? Now I really wanted that Williams Riddler to have happened.
RIP, to the man who really made the Bat work.

Cause of death was a very short battle with cancer. Always the good ones.

Re: Batman: The Animated Series
CBC News had this as a top story on their website today. I'm a little surprised, but it shows the impact he had.

Mark Hamill's tribute:

Re: Batman: The Animated Series
Thanks gass!
I miss the old photochemical look of the original Animated Series, but then I often do with newer digital line art shows, and as for the rest it just kind of looks like a return to what we’ve already seen. I guess Batman is just gonna Batman and not much more.
And yet another WB property not premiering on a WB-owned outlet…? The best way to approach cable/streaming is to market your stuff as exclusives for a set period, and *then* let them enter the traditional distribution ecosystems! Giving it direct as an as-new prestige product right off the bat (no pun intended!)? Prime is the only winner here…

Re: Batman: The Animated Series
Yet another Timm Batman series is bound to be good, but... yeah, it looks like some minor tweaks to what we've enjoyed in the past. Nothing against it, and I'll have to check it out, but with hundreds of hours of Batman cartoons in my collection already, I was ready to give him a rest.

Re: Batman: The Animated Series
It apparently worked for X-Men 97, but that had the benefit of a big twist and not just more of the same.
