Finally started Only Murders and am *loving* it! I was a little worried about how Selena Gomez was going to play as a younger woman to the older guys and it not feel weird, but the setup was done so well that it just works and it’s really made by the performances and all the little asides, nods and winks. As a massive Steve fan, I’m so pleased that a) it’s not awful, and b) he’s having this last act resurgence. Season 4 is all but a given, though I also heard that three might tie things up and finish on a high note. Whichever, I'm loving it and hope it continues and remains fresh. Steve was reluctant to do a show in the first place, so I’ve a feeling that he’ll know when it needs to end. :)

I also hope it ends with season 3 or season 4. And then there won't be any reason to have Disney+ at all

Watched Empire Of Light last night, as we'd come close to going to see it earlier this week before I saw it was added here. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but it’s a pretty good little film about relationships and personal struggles, so a little slow and introspective. The only thing was that it's another open-ended drama, where "life goes on" at the end of it, so it kind of has a feeling of not having a resolve. And as good as the cast is, I’m not sure Olivia Colman delivered in a pivotal scene, which took me out of things for a moment. Fun things were that it was shot where we used to have family and friends, so noticed many of the places, and the cinema itself (actually two locations) was fun to see redressed as the kind of place we'd go to see such things as Empire Strikes Back, Jedi and Superman IiI back in the day (it's set in 1980/81). Not for everyone, but a decent, personal kind of flick, if not totally solid.

Well, not exactly. A media analyst said it's possible, and it is, but that's all. It's just his opinion, not based on anything but his own analysis and contemplation. Many things are possible, but that doesn't mean it really rates as a news item.

The media needs to stop making headlines out of idle conjecture.

And that would be a terrible deal! Hulu is worth much more than two characters!

I don't know about Hulk, but after the Pointy-Eared Aztec Guy in "Wakanda Forever", I'd almost say it's worth it...

They were an interesting service before they became the All Fox Cartoon Channel...

Maybe, but I’m going on what Hulu means internationally, which is a shedload of better content under the Star banner on Disney+, where Hulu has been "bundled" stealth-like. The thinking was that Disney would have liked to have done the same merging in the US and combine everything into a mega-D+ package, save for ESPN, which would be a sports bolt-on. I can’t believe they’d give up all that content for a couple of characters that are going to bring in $2-4bn max, if even that, in theatrical films.

Oh, okay. Not that I’ve heard anything good about it, but…y'know, it has to be seen. ;)

We gave up on Mel when he started doing Leslie Nielsen comedies, and putting wacky modern black comics in "Men in Tights".

Now that he's discovered Hulu, I can only DREAD...
