Yeah, I was sure I saw those about. Maybe an abandoned TV series? Although they probably got stuck right at the start of development: "Pooh Babies" or "Baby Pooh" don’t make for the most enticing titles…! ;)

Cleverly careful not to look anything like the Disneys, or even Shepherd's original illustrations, especially. At least their logic is pretty solid… ;)

A gory horror retelling of Cinderella is in the works. Well, it is one of the few fairy tales that could actually work as the original story was pretty gory. But yeah...

And a Swiss producer is now selling "Mad Heidi".
It's a spitting contest, right now, to see who (and which country) can flaunt the looniest public-domain source for goof-shock value.
I'm guessing Italy will give us their killer Pinocchio in: 3...2..
