That is in fact a big complaint online with this news. Many not happy no walt era film like cinderella, alice in wonderland or jungle book.

Release date pushed from June 27, 2025 to July 10, 2026.

Not a massive shock. They’ll need to give it a bit of breathing space between Moana 2 and the remake so as to not confuse/overindulge audiences as like happened with Last Jedi/Solo, plus it gives them the extra time needed to retool after the strikes delayed a start date by six months or so.

They should make an animated movie out of that Snow White movie they put out a few months back! Yeah, I’d see that. Would be interesting to see them do a live-to-animated way round instead to shake things up. I think we'll get the live Frozen prequel before that. And the live Zootopia. Strange World is going to knock our socks off, with the added sex scenes and everything…
