How is the show? I'm curious about watching it, but I wanna watch the original again first.

Watch just the original and don't bother with the show. It's just... awful.

I really like this show. It keeps the same tone & magic of the original movie. I love how Yzma always makes up a complicated plan & then just comes up with something simple. Kusco's new voice, while no David Spade, does fit the role very well. I love how they stay true to the movie all the time. Kronk & Yzma are as funny as ever and overall, I give this the Askmike1 Seal of Approval.

And here are a few directions for people who haven't seen the show yet....
1) Watch one of the episodes
2a) If you like it, watch more
2b) If you don't like it, don't watch any more
If you didn't do step 1, you can't complain about the show.

BTW, I starts this Friday in the UK on either Disney Channel or the new Disney Cinemagic - I forget which, but it's definitely on from Friday...

This show might be good, I just haven't had a chance to watch much TV lately...

Ha ha. Funny. :D [/quote]
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

I don't think Emperor's New School is a bad show. I suppose its major problem is just that it often recycles jokes from the Emperor's New Groove, making the series seem a little less than fresh. Nonetheless, School has made me laugh a few times and smile a nice amount. I'd suggest that one give the show a shot.

Well, I caught a marathon of that show one day, and it was agonizing and it felt like it crapped all over the original movie, moreso than Kronk's New Groove.

I admit that the show isn't as good as either of the Groove films, and that some of the episodes are disappointing. However, some of the other episodes I've seen are worth a look.

I'm with Josh and Mike all the way. I LOVE The Emperor's New School! :D

However, there's no denying that the first season had a rocky start, most notably with the "formulaic" approach -- such as Yzma plotting her scheme, pulling the lever, roller coaster, Kuzco changing into some animal, etc..

But since the start of the 2nd season, the show has improved A LOT and it's mainly because they finally got away from the formulaic approach.

Aside from that, there are other reasons why season 2 is a step up from season 1; Kuzco's character is a bit better, the main cast (Kuzco, Malina, Kronk) when not in school, actually wear different clothes and last but not least, John Goodman is back!! I'm sorry, but I did not like his replacement. He was ok, but the way he delivered some of his lines was just horrible. :?
