You do not speak unkind words of our dark lord and savior, lest your body get thrown into the firey lava pits.

Hey, I wasn't bagging on the guy...just saying he looks like Professor X!
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

"It's hard not to be interested in Happy Feet."

No it's not. I admit I haven't seen the new trailer yet, so my opinion my change when I do, but right now I have zero interest. The teaser that was out last year did absolutely nothing for me. Having Robin Williams in an animated movie at this point is not enough to draw me in. The only reason animation people want him is to try to recapture the financial success of Aladdin as well as the spontineity (sp?) of that performance. Sorry to say, it's not gonna happen. That was a once-in-a-lifetime, lightning-in-a-bottle fluke and I personally don't think RW has that kind of energy anymore.

Doogal's prolly redubbed cause the Weisteins don't think (no offense you guys who are Americans) that the North American public "don't get" British jokes. Didn't Monty Python not took off in U.S cuz ppl don't "get" it?

Funny thing is Monty Python is a big hit in Canada

You're wrong about the Monty Python thing - I have many freinds who are Monty Python fanatics. Very popular here (or at least with the people I know.)

W&G didn't get redubbed, and that had British humor, right?

Fani... Monty Python and the Holy Grail is regarded as a classic here in the US.

Also, in Doogal...the JOKES WERE THE SAME.

They changed a few lines, but kept McKellen's recording from the original and pretty much just had the lines re-recorded with bigger, American names.

Anyway, so much for that - the original voices were much better suited!

Yes, the ENTIRE film is the same picture cut, with McKellen's voice recording retained since he's a **"NAME!!"** and the rest of the cast re-recorded since the originals were NOT household names in America.

While they were at it, they had a couple of guys from some Cartoon Network show come in and change some jokes, and "hey presto", those guys now get the screenwriting credit - even though they did NOT come up with the characters, they did NOT write the plot, and they did NOT come up with the majority of the scripted lines!

Basically, make a movie. Then dub it and take credit. Bingo: "Doogal". :(

Dag-gum, now I sorta wish I had seen it...
