About the new movie, I still think that it looks way too dark (set-wise).
Shouldn't a movie about "Truth, Justice, and the American Way" be a little brighter? :(

Yeah, but it's not about that, is it Vi?

In the trailer it's about "Truth, Justice...and all that stuff"...

Oy!

It just looks....wrong. Spider-Man, especially Spidey 2, (even with all the dark themes), looked very bright and crisp in every shot...there was definetely an optimistic, wholesome feel in the film which was reflected in the set design.

With Superman Returns the design just looks...muddled. And I'm starting to wonder if that reflects the story as well. :?

I hope not.

EDIT: I mean, check out this shot:

Now, to be honest I was expecting something really objective there.

I didn't find anything wrong with that shot other than I can't get over people saying how much Routh looks like Reeve - he doesn't in the slightest bit!

Now, if you wanna see someone who REALLY looks like Clark Kent, check out the "villain" in my upcoming project:

I don't think he does either! Reeve had this very solid look to him, almost like he stepped straight out of the comic book itself. I like how Brandon looks but he has this misfit/troubled/sensitive look to him that would probably make him a better Peter Parker or even Bruce Wayne. That's my opinon anyway.

For comparison here's Reeve:

Dean Cain:

And Superboy just for the heck of it:

It looks really funny! It kinda reminds me of Freakazoid the cartoon.

Thanks - we're going for a cartoon feel.

There is actual animation in it as well, but the sound effects and music are very 1950s Carl Stalling.

Hmmmmm. I'm going to have to disagree with Ben about, oh, 100% here when it comes to the trailer. ;)

In three words, I love it. :D

Yep. All of it! :D

I especially like the part where Lex Luthor enters the Fortress of Solitude and says, "Tell me everything!". :D

And I love the stuff of Superman tearing the wing off an airplane. :D

Nothing can stop me from being excited about this movie! :D

Er, I'll have to watch him carefully next time I see the trailer. ;)

Have you seen the preview in the theater? Maybe it's better on the big screen than it is on the internet.
