Post by Wonderlicious »

This article is a few days old, but definetely worth mentioning in a thread of its own as it sheds light on an important animation production over at Disney:

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

i always liked Disney movies for being hand-drawn, and Pixar's for being CGI...it's just more familiar that way...

Hey RR, what is going on in your icon? It's hard to make out, but it looks like Sally is being chewed on. :? LOL

*edit*

Oh wait, she's being licked. Still...:? ;)

Yeah, that looks a little wrong.

Actually it looks a LOT wrong! Could you swap it for something else please? :)

John and Ed are certainly bringing some magic back to Disney.

Its official! Alan Menken will be composing the music :)

Disney Developing The Frog Princess

Walt Disney Feature Animation is developing The Frog Princess with plans to produce it in traditional 2-D style, rather than the 3-D CGI method that has become ubiquitous recently.

Variety reports that according to sources, the film is being developed by writer-directors Ron Clements and John Musker (Treasure Planet, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid), who recently rejoined Disney after Ed Catmull and John Lasseter became WDFA president and chief creative officer, respectively, following the Pixar acquisition.

Lasseter has given the go-ahead for the project to be made in 2-D should it get the green light. He has previously said he would like to see Disney use 2-D visuals for the right projects.

The last time Disney made a 2-D feature was Home on the Range in 2004, which did not fare so well at the box office.

Alan Menken, Disney's longtime composer, is working on the music for The Frog Princess.
