Congradulations, Pixar! I loved how excited Lassy was about animation - saying how it was so much fun and all. Oh, and having Steve Carrel announce the winner was cool. :)

Thanks Vi, sniff-sniff.

I'm not sure what I've got, but it's hit me like a ton of bricks and I can't seem to shake it. Been off for a week now and can't seem to go for more than a few hours without feeling tired, dizzy and zonked out. Back to the doctor I think... :(

To Cars: Huzzah! Congratulations to John Lasseter and the entire team at Pixar for making it happen! They certainly deserve it, as does the film.

To "Song of the Heart" from Happy Feet: YES!!! :D

Oh -- sorry, I wasn't...umm...listening. Heh. No, I believe your conspiracy! The Oscars are rigged, everyone knows that. :P ;) (snigger)

As for Happy Feet, I absolutely loved it. The visual effects; the story; the character development -- everything was just fantastic. But hey, that's just me. ;)

This is like a win-win situation for me, as I was rooting for both films. (I loved Song of the Heart BTW!)

Best animated 06?

Post by supremecommander »

Ice Age 2 is good but I think The Incredibles is the better rounded of all the recent animated films.

ShyViolet wrote:Thanx Dan! :) Although I erased that comment due to fear of sounding like a broken record, here it is again: (I was kind of half-joking anyway... :P )
Your welcome, Vi. :P

Yeah, I saw.

Its ok, though. I don't think you sound like a broken record at all! ;)

You can hear Prince's The Song of the Heart for free at AOL Music.

Meanwhile, here are the "animated" moments from Monday night's Golden Globes ceremony, in case you missed them:

The Song of the Heart from Happy Feet wins "Best Original Song"

Cars wins "Best Animated Film"

Unfortunately, the videos are pretty blurry. Hence, you might want to catch the noted moments when the 64th annual Golden Globes airs again this Saturday at 8 and 11 pm on Bravo.

Speaking of the Golden Globes, I thought it had some interesting surprises. I'm still pretty disappointed that The Office didn't pick up any awards, as I'm a huge fan of the show.

In the movie categories, there were virtually NO surprsies at all. With the exception of "Babel's" Best Picture win and the Best Song award for "Happy Feet", everything went pretty much as I expected it to. ;)
