I think Disney is actually going to be the top pick for Aardman. No inside info, just a sense. Where ever they end up, they will probably get a great distribution deal.

No surprise.
Hope Aardman will get a partner, who is really making good movies.

BTW, I know I heard down the line that they were planning on collaborating on a bunch of features other than Tortoise. (that never got made). I think DW opted for Wallace instead since they are the most well-known Aardman characters and basically the "mascot" for Aardman. :)

Does anyone know anything about these "films that never were"? :?
While Aardman is best known for stop motion, the studio has also dabbled in CGI with productions such as Al Dante, Planet Sketch and Flushed Away.

What the heck are Al Dante and Planet Sketch?? :?:

I knew it. Villagers come bearing torches and pitchforks, they're wasting no time.....:?

One of the best films of 2000 was the Aardman produced Chicken Run, and Dreamworks had very little to do with that movie other than release it.

Yeah, except for the screenwriter, some story people, a couple of producers....but no one REALLY important.....

I know this thread is old but I can't help but think how sad it is that even though this film (Were-Rabbit) won so many awards and critical acclaim, it didn't help their relationship.....:(

I also wonder: Was the fact that it was changed from "The Great Vegetable Plot" to "Curse of the Were-Rabbit" another example of "Creative differences" between these two studios? :?

And I STILL think it's weird that FA got all those Annie noms, but not Best Pic????
