Elsewhere on the site, they do say:

"DreamWorks Animation makes high quality CG animated films meant for a broad movie-going audience. The company has theatrically released a total of eight animated feature films, including Antz, Shrek, Shrek 2 and Shark Tale. DreamWorks Animation’s next release will be Madagascar, scheduled to open in May 2005."

Shame they don't acknowledge the "tradigital" films at all.

I thought Antz was a big thing for them? There was even talk of a sequel at one point. No wonder they are becoming known as the franchise studio: they make a film and then ride and ride on it (upcoming Shrek 3 and 4, Shark Tale 2).

If Madagascar is a big hit, I bet we'll hear about that franchise extension too.

This makes me sad, because I really liked the "tradigital" films.

Especially Spirit, Prince of Egypt and Joseph: King of Dreams. They were even making a Noah film at one point....it's a real shame.

:(

These studios just don't get what they are missing out on by not making the Noah's Ark movie- especially Disney. Think all those stuffed animals there would be to sell and put into Happy Meals. Still, I would rather the studios just leave the story alone, rather than fill it with modern references. One of the last things I want to see is Noah and the animals walking out of the ark while "Who Let the Dogs Out" plays.

A Noah movie would be neat though, with all the animal characters.

But god no, to the "who let the dogs out" thing. That needs to be just... banned from movies.

Let's not forget, then, that Shrek was only a "DreamWorks Picture" and not from the animation stable.

The new logo/department debuted on Shrek 2, so that kind of blows that reasoning out of the water.

BTW, wasn't Disney making an exclusive-to-TV Ark movie? I remember us posting about that around a year ago...

Is that serious? Pretty cool, though an animated version would also be good.

If you ever saw "Muppets from Space" there's this part in the begining where Gonzo has a dream that he's at the Ark before the Flood and he can't get on because "There's only one of me." GREAT scene. F. Murray Abraham plays Noah. (That's right.... F. MURRAY ABRAHAM!)

*Simpsons reference*

LOL, what you dont get that visual image in your mind when you read your bible?...hmm...must just be me then:)

yeah its a shame about POE, its like when shrek hit big, jeff said, "OMG films with integrity make no oney at all, we had better disown all the films that have a shred of it!"

i love POE and Spirit, i can watch them over and over:)
