Wrote this at JHM:

I think I had one of the first issues ever, August 1988. (I was ten years old). It was mostly just activities for kids and a few articles on Disneyland "For Parents." I was soooo excited to have it, though. Disney was definetely on the rise back then.
(I know it was 1988 because the back cover had ads for "Short Circuit 2" and "The Adventures of Pippi Longstocking.")

It seems like a lot of their current issues were thinly-veiled advertisements, but they still had some interesting stuff. Maybe they'll be brought back--who knows??

Well, it says over at the JHM article that the magazine started about forty years ago.

Oh, I didn't know that. Well, what I had was mostly a kiddie magazine, so I guess it changed some in sixteen years.

Er,

Disney rescinded its decision after a bunch of Baby Boomers complained about it.

The magazine WILL go on!

Let us hope that that's true.

I've heard that talked about all over, but haven't seen an official source that has said it. Where did you hear it, George?

Honestly, I can't remember which site said the decision had been reversed.

I am pretty sure that I read it correctly, though.

Golden Age Cartoons, ToonZone, Cartoon Brew, AWN.com?

I really can't remember for the life of me because I visit so many sites!

<Sigh>

I can't find any word about a reversal of Disney Magazine's cancellation...
All I see is a bunch of complaining from some of the 500,000 people who get the magazine!

Googling and Yahoo-ing for things you don't remember where you read 'em from can be a real head-ache... especially after an intense videogame session on the old PS2!

As Emily Latella from SNL's old days says,

"Never mind!"
