Not a significant website yet, but disney's got a feature online about its new 2 DVD set at
disney.go.com/disneyvideos/newsletter/apr2005/feature.html
with a few details about the film.

(jaw drops) They're REALLY going put back "If I Never Knew You!". I'm so glad that they're doing this for the US release! I was afraid that they wouldn't.

Only problem is that I'm probably going to cry now.

Ahaa!

Was wondering if they'd put that (spolier thing) back in too. It was all on the LaserDisc set. To me, that moment was more touching than If I Never Knew You itself.

Ah, Pocahontas, the one everyone was betting on....

Actually I like it a lot. Maybe the story is a little weak, but I still think it's an awesome film. I love the songs. I always liked "If I never knew you" (It's a pop song on the soundtrack) and can't wait to see it in the film.

One question: Will Katzenberg be mentioned/shown this time around? (especially if Eisner is gone by the time this comes out.)
I think he did appear briefly on the Aladdin disc, but I don't have it so I don't know for sure.
When Eisner leaves, will the whole "We-must-never-speak-of-Jeffrey-Katzenberg" thing FINALLY be gone?? :x

It would be awesome if when Hunchback is re-released, Disney inserted the "As Long As There's A Moon" scene and took out "A Guy Like You".

"A Guy Like You" is pretty lame, IMO.

agreed, I had seen If I never knew you several times (well, the unfinished version) and also felt the spoiler thing was much more touching. I was definitely surprised.

This might just be my hallucination, , but I could have sworn that the very first time I saw Pocahontas in theaters, there's this whole scene where after she save's JS's life, she has a conversation with Nakoma about whether she should stay or go with him; Nakoma says she has to follow her heart....then when it came out on video it totally disappeared. For a long time I thought I just imagined it, but then I picked up one of those Disney criticism books like Deconstructing Disney and there it was, described in detail. Does ANYONE know what I'm talking about? :? :)

BTW Nakoma is my favorite character in Pocahontas!

It's always been there in the versions I've seen (theatrical, LaserDisc and now DVD).
