No,he's not the villain, the villain is a tiger who escaped from prison and Po needs to stop him.

Not a tiger...Snow leopard. I think I've said this before but I'm not sure if it's the best idea to make an extremely endangered animal the 'bad guy'.

Yeah. You may have a point there, Meg.

Still, I've seen pics of the character, and I must say that his design is *really* cool.

I don't know but I find the "Tai Lung" character to be the most interesting.

last night dreamworks had come to our campus for a presentation...

& guess what ?? they got special footage from kung-fu panda

i really liked it...it was really good, after considering my hate for dreamworks..

SPOILERS AHEAD

this is how it went :

panda enters the kung fu academy..amazed...looks around..

panda : uve gt be kidding me, this is the original ancient sword of the great battle with real war damage..

goes to the next one : wow...the invisible shield...

& there was nothing on the wall...

runs to the ceramic pot...

panda : no way, this is where all the lost souls are stored...

soul : & u didnt think seeing me 1st was necessary...

panda : im sorry im sorry, i didnt know u were here...

soul : look behind u..

panda tuns around : oh hi master...

turns bac to the ceramic vase : thats nothing thats just my master..

soul in masters voice...cough cough..

panda : whoaaa...turn bac to him & breaks the vase by mistake..

master...what are you doing here...

panda : some one broke this vase...not me...but im trying to fix it...do u have some glue...

master : dont waste time...we need to begin your training...

they enter a great verandah...

monkey, tiger, mantis & viper shown at their best skills...

monkey fights & defends the rotating pole with branches & spikes (forgive my noobness here, i do not know kung fu terms)

tiger runs on a spiral tube like structure, which rotates at a real high speed...& at the same time he has to save himself from the spikes that are swinging in the air...

viper is dodging fire balls emitting from the pipes underground...

panda is in awe..

they all come in front of panda to greet him...

panda : wow the incredible 5...i cant believe i standing front of u guys....u guys just look like your action figures.......except for u mantis...u are about the same size..

master : now where shall we begin your training...?

panda : well...im good at kung fu, but not as good as these guys...so....

master : what level...??

panda : level...uhmm..level....how bout (whispers) zero..

master : zero...there is no level zero...

panda : then whats this ? ( points out at stnding punching bag)

master : we use that to train our kids...

panda : perfect !

master : okay then..give us a demonstartion of wat u are capable of...

panda : well i just ate...soo...my kung fu miht not be as good as later on...
(panda gets ready for the big punch..& it barely moves the toy)

master : good...now try punching it a lil harder...

panda punches the toy, & before he starts showing off, the toy punches him bac...

panda falls on to the verandah, where everyone was practicing...

gets beat up by the rotating thing withspikes...gets thrown into the tigers spiral, cudnt dodge a single swing...

fals onto the pipes...jst when he thought it was over...the flames burst...

the reaction of the 5 is shown...

panda drags himself into the screen..(a typical a la daffy duck)

panda : ha ha...how did i do master...?

master : there is now a level zero...

SPOILERS END

clip ends...audience applauds...i hope i remmembered more in detail...

anyways...this gives u a hint...go ahead enjoy this movie in the theatres...

Here is the latest TV spot that will be appearing in different parts of the country.

I really really like the brief shot of Tai-Lung at the end.

Heres Jerry Becks mini review for the film. I hope this is less Ancient History and more Current Opinion.

As Mulder would say, "I want to believe." The trailer was funny and I thought that it might redeem DW after the double-whammy epic ineptitude of Madagascar and Shrek The Third (both of which were overhyped, overmerchandised and overrated). If KFP is really as good as he says, then maybe there's hope that they were just going through a slump after the mammoth success of Shrek 2 and are now back in form. I guess we'll find out.

Here is another review of the movie on the Ain't it Cool web site. They normally are very critical of DreamWorks movies but the guy who saw the movie seemed to think the movie was pretty good.

So far I've heard nothing but good things about this. Lame trailer aside, this is one flick I'm definitely looking forward to!

I love the dumpling scene.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Perfect! That's exactly how I feel. I was burned by Bee Movie so I'm afraid to get too excited about this one.
