Disney Classic Comics

Post by Cinderallaboi »

The undisputed stars of the animated movie screen, Mickey Mouse and his pals also starred in some of the best comic strips ever to enliven newspaper funny pages. Produced at the Walt Disney Studios, the Disney comic strips are also prime examples of Disney art in its own right. So sit back and enjoy the Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and Scamp comic strips, which first appeared on January 13, 1930, February 7, 1938 and October 31, 1955, respectively... and don't worry about getting that newspaper ink on your fingers!

Relax, it's not like these comics are being reprinted anywhere else. I remember the Mickey Mouse one. At one point, Disney Adventures reprinted that whole story. Twas very interesting to see.

Yes, Neal.

But instead of linking to their pages, Cinderfella is stealing their bandwidth...as well as their copyright.

Not cool. :(

I see. Yeah, a link would make more sense as that way we could actually see the new ones each day... not just the first set.

Forgive me for resurrecting a topic that's a month old, but I felt the need to post here. I'm a huge fan of the old "Mickey Mouse"-comic strip drawn by Floyd Gottfredson. Gottfredson's Mickey was a fun character, who didn't hesitate to look for hidden treasures or fight both filthy nazis and more colourful villains like Sylvester Shyster and The Phantom Blot. In fact, I'd really like to see an animated show based on Gottfredson's Mickey, it'll propably never happen, but a man can dream, right?

Everytime I see that comic it makes me realise that Donald's mellowed considerably over the years. Sure, he still throws temper tantrums, but at least now he doesn't try to drown people.
