I did like "Space Jam" when I was a child (odd, since I'm not interested in basketball) but I'm not sure if I could stomach it these days.

Sunday: "Dunderklumpen" is certainly the weakest of Per Ahlin's animated features, his later stuff like "Hundhotellet" ("The Dog Hotel") and "Resan till Melonia" (The Journey to Melonia") are much better in terms of both plot and characters.

While we're talking about obscure animated films, has anyone here seen "Felidae"? A german film about cats and gruesome murder. It's pretty dark and violent and most certainly not something I would recommend for kids, but I actually thought it was pretty good. The story was interesting and the characters were all engaging enough, for me to be entertained by it, despite some very gruesome scenes.

I'm not gonna lie... I really liked it when I was a kid. Then I became older and more critical and I realized:

A) The plot was incredibly stupid

B) Michael Jordan couldn't act to save his life

C) He wasn't even trying!

D) The film might as well have been an 88 minute ad for /looney tunes collectables/the newest R Kelly album/air Jordans/gatorade/anything else Jordan was plugging at the time.

Eh, only thing I disliked about Titan A.E. was the insipid rock inclusions on the soundtrack.

yeck, I'd rather watch Looney Tunes Back in Action (or Traction it more seems :p) than Space Jam.. Brendan Fraser is more tolerable than Jordan.. and it's closer to the Looney Tune lore than S.J  .. though it's not that much more better.. but oh well. there's no Lola there *dances*..

I'm seeing Anastasia this weekend.. though it took me a long time to warm up to it because of Rasputin.. I'm not one for grossness.. 8) ..

Titan A.E.. meh, I'd rather watch Treasure Planet or Sinbad.. at least the music is more Tolerable..

Darkblade, I have never seen Coonskin, but I've never been a big fan of Bakshi's. As a serious animation fan, I have seen Song of the South. It's enjoyable, but I don't think it's that great. In my mind, it's certainly not necessary to keep it in the vault.
