The Animation Writers Caucus of the Writers Guild of America will be honoring Len Uhley with their Animation Writing Award on November 19. Uhley is a 30-year veteran in the animation industry, having sold his first script while still a junior at UCLA. He has written over 200 television episodes and home video productions. He won an Emmy Award for co-writing the Tailspin episode "Plunder & Lightning" with Alan Burnett (a previous recipient of the Animation Writing Award) and has been nominated for writing episodes of Static Shock, DuckTales, and Ozzy & Drix.
Past recipients of the Animation Writing Award include Brad Bird, Matt Groening, Linda Woolverton, Mark Evanier, Paul Dini, and Dwayne McDuffie, just to name a few.
