There's no way Black Widow is coming out in May.

Peter rabbit 2 got moved up a month thanks to tom and jerrys success!

Funny that one gets delayed and another pushed up!

That's because all Sony is hoping for are Tom & Jerry numbers.

Tom & Jerry's numbers would be terrible under any other circumstances.

Minions is part of a multi-billion franchise Universal wants to take care of. They want the $100 million-level opening, hence the delay.

Ernest & Celestine is yet another one I need to catch up on! And, despite owning them all, I’ve only ever seen the first Despicable (twice, though)…!

1 is the best.
2 is pretty fun.
minions screwed up the whole history after we were told gruu created the minions in two films and the ride now they are from the dino era? What?
Part 3 ignored the firat two films history and used the crappy dino recon screwed it up. 80s based bad guy was best part but rest was "blah". Ending upset some kids leading to every minion short made after taking place "before" part 3 or during it ignoring the ending. You know this next one is erasing that ending with the backlash it got!

Just saw Minions 2. Not reviewing it but thought I'd give a quick recap here:

[Just a heads up that I combined the three Despicable Me threads and the Minions thread.]

But did you dress up to see it? Because apparently that's a thing. Maybe it helps.

I have yet to be won over by the whole Despicable Minions thing, so wasn’t in a rush to see this. I think I’ve still only ever seen the first Despicable, but do have all of them on disc waiting to be run someday. There’s something just the wrong side of creepy about the Minions themselves, although that’s a perfect character trait for them. I know grown people that find them absolutely hilarious and are obsessed to the point of annoyance with them, so not really surprising that this suit thing has become a Thing, as weird as that is too. I guess I should watch a few more of them; with the success of this one already it certainly looks like there will be more to come…

Supposedly, dressing up as Minions and throwing bananas at the screen started out as one of those Gen-Z Viral Internet Ironic gags, basically an encore gag for when everybody online pretended to like "It's Morbin' Time!" to make fun of Sony.

It doesn't quite translate here, as, yes, nobody asked Universal for a sequel, but there isn't as much "agreed-upon" fed-up fan viciousness toward it as there was with Sony.
Studios are a little too dim to appreciate passive-hostile sarcasm, as we saw when Sony thought the audience "loved" Morbius again because they were all talking about it.

Universal doesn't care as long as the movie makes money, and it does...

Minions 2 has broke the record for biggest 4th of july weekend beating transformers 3 and one of illuminations biggest openings. It's passes $285m world wide and that's not all thanks to a tick tock meme some countries can't get. Don't forget first minions passed a billion.

I didn't care for the first so will wait for home release.
