This has apparently been debunked by Disney at this time.

BUT...don't be surprised if this eventually comes out, say, oh around November 2007.

I wonder why?

Yeah, that's just because they want us to buy this one so they can stick us again when they "change their plans" and issue the extended version.

Exactly what my "don't be surprised if this eventually comes out, say, oh around November 2007" was hinting at. ;)

Hmm... perhaps they're holding back on a possible extended edition for a Blu-ray release? ;)

Or on the other, less-exciting hand, they could re-release the extended LWW to promote the theatrical/home video release of Prince Caspian. :P

Exactly what part of my "don't be surprised if this eventually comes out, say, oh around November 2007" did you not understand? ;)

I'm in agreement with the train of thought that says an extended version IS on the way! It would also provide an explanation to the lack of deleted scenes on the upcoming dvd. I get the feeling Adamson may have had his knuckles rapped for slipping the information!

Narnia: Prince Caspian

Post by chernabog »

There's some talk about the Narnia sequel over at comingsoon.net, regarding the possible delay to 2008.

2008? I can't wait that long!

Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Magicians' Nephew are my favorite books of the Chronicles of Narnia. Prince Caspian is definitely going to be harder to adapt than The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe.

I haven't read any of them so I can't comment, but I'm extremely excited about Caspian. I watched TLTWATW again the other night and it rose to a 4star film for me. It's so brilliantly directed and if Adamson can just increase the pace next time round I'll be happy.

I'm waiting to go home for the summer so I can watch it again... Not the perfect adaption, but good enough for me. Aslan was flippin' amazing. The weight.

Prince Caspian in 2008??! *wince* Man, those kids are gonna grow fast. They're gonna need a non-canon excuse for the aging for any movies after this... maybe add a few years in English-time between stories. That wouldn't be too bad.
