Its better than the 'prove it!' one, at least. I do like the look, but I'm still undecided.

'Prove it' may go down as one of the "Most Infamous Jokes in Cinema History". ;)

In the new trailer, I actually thought the parts with Dave were kinda amusing (believe it or not) but only when he's not with the Chipmunks.

The Chipmunks ARE NOT FUNNY. They are NOT CUTE. They are JUST......CREEPY AS H**L. That's all I can say about them.... :(

(BTW Alvin sounds like Alvin from the show..... but the others don't sound at all like their characters, at least to me.)

I wonder if, with films like Enchanted that have live-action interacting with traditionally animated toons, we'll see more films like those in our future (throwbacks to Roger Rabbit, Pete's Dragon, etc....) and less like......these. :?

Has anyone seen the TV spots for this? Oye. Just the thought of Alvin taking a shower in a dishwasher makes me shrug, but the fact that they have him singing "Doncha wish your girlfriend was hot like me" just adds insult to injury. :(

And they have Simon grrring at a maid. SIMON! The Simon I know, wouldn't do that. :?

Yes...at first I didn't remember that bit (it was in the second trailer too I think) and now it's coming back! AHHHH!

Transformers, Garfield, Chipmunks, (and soon to be Thundercats) bastardized into poorly-made feature films....it just feels so wrong. And I don't want to tempt fate, but isn't that Smurfs movie supposed to be underway? I can see it now: Hip, tough-talking Smurfs, the word "smurf" intermixed with 21st century slang, and lots of "innuendo" where Smurfette is concerned....(don't laugh, because IT COULD HAPPEN. )

It has to stop! :) Save our 80s memories from being pillaged!! J/K :P :)

Me thinks that search was a waste. :(

Anywho, been seeing more TV spots. Ok, one I have to admit was cute. It's one where they sing that Christmas song (the name escapes me). If only all of them were like that...

Well, it sounds ok. Depending on how the last act plays out, it could have a lot of heart... I hope.

Still looking forward to it, but I wonder how well (or how poorly) it's going to do. I suppose we'll know when the figures come in this weekend.

I can't say that I'm rooting for it to do well. ;)

So has anyone gone out and actually seen the movie yet?

I know as a result of this movie there are a ton more versions of songs "Chipmunkafied" on you tube now ^.^
