Nowadays, they throw anything at the wall that sticks, but a promise is a promise--Key word being "Contractual".

Re: DC Universe
Truthfully my main take away after watching the Black Adam trailer was I really want the Shazam 2 movie to be released.
I know nothing about Black Adam but based on the trailer he is a bad guy but also a good guy and the movie is super serious but also lighthearted, it is also violent but also family friendly. Honestly felt like they took two movies and created one trailer from it and threw in Hawkman for brand recognition.

Re: DC Universe
DC Animation already did a Shazam vs. Black Adam for their shorts series, and Adam's definitely a baddie.
Unless he gets his own studio-corporate solo movie, and then he's a good baddie, like Venom and Morbius.
(And at one point, Warner was going to repurpose his debut into Suicide Squad 2, but then they went with the goofy Gunn movie instead.)
Either way, it was their chance to throw in Hawkman for future Justice League 2 membership, since his solo-movie pitch may have been ditched fairly early.

Re: DC Universe
Well, for the record, Black Adam was reinvented during Geoff John's JSA run and DC's 52 weekly series, to be a highly principled but somewhat thuggish "hero" (and eventually leader of the fictional country of Kahndaq), who nevertheless came into conflict with western heroes who tended to see things differently than he did. And he did spend a storyline or two with the JSA at one point.

Ezra is on the move and can't be served court papers. Spiraling fast!
Re: DC Universe
That's what I call one seriously disturbed Toon!

Re: DC Universe
A shame it won’t all be gone in a Flash…this one will run and run to what we can only assume will be a destructive conclusion. Guy needs help.
Re: DC Universe
How the heck do you even release The Flash now...?
Re: DC Universe
By leaning all the publicity for the film on the return of Keaton's Bats.
Re: DC Universe
The Flash: Batman Returns Again.

Re: DC Universe
It's a whole new series for WB! Next up…

More funny if you're familiar with the episode.
