If this is half decent, it may sway me to pick up a Monsterverse box, but so far I’ve also been unimpressed by these films, including Kong, which had a couple of moments...but hardly any Kong! He was in hiding or offscreen for all but two major sequences in the whole movie! And it’s his name in the title!

Anyway, none of this matters, as they’ll all get wiped out by the giant robots from Pacific Rim (the first one, not the awful second)!

When you remember that Tom Cruise's Mummy had to call itself Universal's "Dark Universe" because Warner had already taken "Monsterverse", you start to realize how OLD Warner's impossible GZvK dream is by now...

Like, dates back to when Warner thought, "Sure, we just have to tweak Batman v. Superman's script!", and they get out of the who-wins question with a teamup fight against MechaGodzilla showing up as the replacement Doomsday.

It wouldn't surprise me if all the Godzilla footage we've seen ends up being Mechagodzilla is disguise. So with all the hoopla of "one will fall", technically it would be true. Well there, I ruined the movie.

Either that or Godzilla has been controlled or brainwashed. It's a tad of a letdown that they're going that route, since I was kind of hoping it was some sort of grand turf war or tussle over the mantle of "king of the monsters" they were brawling over.

The whole "little girl can talk with Kong" thing is also silly...but in fairness, keeping in the spirit of the insanity of the Toho films. It's just a shame that most people won't be experiencing this as they should be--in a movie theater.

For my money, 2014 Godzilla worked great as "roller coaster cinema," and it was especially exhilarating when viewed on the big screen in 3-D. Of course there was a lack of, well, Godzilla in it, but there was still plenty of monster mayhem. Kong I enjoyed as well even with the reasonable lack of Kong (though I wanna say he appeared more than twice in the film?). Again, still plenty of monsters (could've been slightly faster-paced though). KOTM, as I said in my review, was fun (and grew on me when I watched it on DVD), but the human drama---at least involving Vera's character--was pretty dumb, and there's the dropping of an F-bomb that had absolutely no place in a PG-13 beast bash which is going to attract children.

Kong was in his film more, but really only had two big sequences, I think.

Well kong does not have to worry about other monster movie rumble.

It's delayed again to 2022!

I’m crushed. That was by far my most anticipated movie of the year. Whatever will I do now? :(

Watch the 60s film again!

(It's likely to still be more fun anyway!) ;)

Yes, I will clarify that with my last post that I was referring to Rumble, not KVG (which I am excited for).

"KVG" G before K, unless one is referring to the 60s film! ;)

Seems about average for a Paramount animated.
Unless it gets bumped down to the new Paramount streaming service, which WILL be average for a Paramount animated.

And Konga Woman turns up at the end...!
