And yet Dan doesn't like the dancing penguins. ;)

Wendy's Jane - Haha -- no kidding? I can't believe that. Who doesn't like dancing penguins? :P

I saw a preview/trailer for Dumbo 2 on some Disney dvd...before it got cancelled. It looked ok. I'm not surprised it got pulled off the shelves, come to think of it. (heh)

Nah, I like dancing penguins, I just thought the movie looked a little odd. I haven't seen it yet, so I'm passing judgment :) if its any concelation, I already like those penguins more than I do LMII's penguin *shrugs* ;)

The only preview of Dumbo 2 was on the anniversary edition of Dumbo. I thought it cute, and the producer seemed really exited! Sigh :(

Daniel Jake - Ahh...I see. Well, go watch it before it swims out of the theater. Seriously, it's better than Cars! Well...maybe not, but I liked it more than Cars anyway. ;)

Yeah, that's the dvd I saw the Dumbo 2 preview on. And yeah: the producer seemed like he was gonna blow a gasket -- he was so excited. Oh well....

Yeah Dan, you should totally see it. I think I liked Cars a smidge better, but I would be happy if either of them wins Best Animated Picture.

Ben - Haha -- yeah, the executives wish. :P

Nuh-uh. Happy Feet just might win over Cars -- I secretly hope that it does, but who's talking? (snigger) I feel so embarassed. This is the first time that I have liked a particular film over a Pixar one.

Heh, a few years ago, I was rooting for Return to Neverland and The Jungle Book 2 to win. Of course, they didn't, but, it was still fun! :P

And about March of The Penguins, I'll see it, when someone (other than me) actually watches The Fox and The Hound 2. Yup, I don't see that happening anytime soon. Shame ;)

NeverLand and Jungle Book 2 weren't even nominated, so no wonder they didn't win! :)

Yeah, I knew we were talking Happy Feet. Just, y'know, trying to swing this back on topic... ;)

Haha, Ben. You didn't even notice, but I wrote the wrong film.

March of the Penguins < Happy Feet ;)

And, I'm not sure if it was for this award, but those two were nominated. I'm certain! :P

Speaking of which...Is it possible for a DTV to win Best Animated Feature?

Meg - I was wondering that myself. Has a DTV ever been nominated in the past? If not, I guess that that is the next barrier the Oscars will have to cross.... :P

No. Well, maybe.

A film has to play in LA theatrically for at least one week to qualify. That's why, at this time of year, you'll find some pretty obscure Indian features out there in LA LA Land if you look hard enough. What makes the creators think that these things will get noticed and suddenly win an Oscar!?

But...if there were no big, big, big animated films in theaters for a year and a Disney DTV played at the El Capitan for a week or two, it would be eligible! :(
