As of February 19, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- has made a total of 2.63 billion yen (US$19.91 million) on the back of 1,874,000 tickets sold for the special screenings. These showings continue to be the highest-grossing recap/preview screenings for a TV anime and has already outgrossed Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie’s total Japanese box office runs.

Guess the series is no longer too expensive! Starting Saturday Toonami will begin airing the Mugen Train arc. This is the TV version of the movie, the first episode being entirely new. I've only seen the movie version, so yay!

Incidentally, the Entertainment District Arc, which is the season that follows the Mugen Train, will air next month on Toonami. Finally watched it a few months back since the chances were slim it was ever coming to TV. Nowhere near has good as Mugen Train, but did have its moments. Just felt like it dragged on and on.

Demon slayer made first place friday. Bob is expected to win the weekend again however putting ds in 2nd. Also, its overperforming looks like but nowhere near the first movies box office.

They just confirmed the demon slayer new movie is not episodes of a last season as well thought but a real all new movie like the first movie--and its canon!
