Jodie became the Doctor in 2018, (her official debut was in 2017) which was before the rumor/speculation started for a "female" James Bond.

I'm actually really impressed with the internet at the moment for not having a meltdown of the casting like it did when the Docotr became a female. Of course I have blocked the 'newspapers' that usually drum up the crazy fan reaction so all I know the internet may have melted down. My only concern with the casting is that it will reduce his involvement in the next season of Sex Education.

Oh, I don’t know. I’ve seen plenty of pretty silly and funny jokes today. "Is that a sonic screwdriver in your pocket…" etc, and "what's the new Docter's favorite planet?", among the milder, more obvious ones…

Well, at least since 2002's Die Another Day, when Jinx was supposed to go off and launch her own series. But then she isn’t a Time Lord, so… ;)

Wasn't it around the same time as the Expendables fans wanted their all-female version?

(Which got Sony, still looking for ideas to jumpstart Ghostbusters 3, to start thinking....no, let's not go there...)

Yeah…hilariously mooted to be… The Expendabelles, as if that couldn’t be patronizing enough!

One of my favorite moments in Classic Who:

Yeah, I know that giant spider looks incredibly fake, but then so did that magic cockroach or whatever it was supposed to be in Turn Left! Lol. :)
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Awesome piano rendition of Vale Decem (the musical theme that plays right before Ten regenerates).

How to “jump into” DW if you’ve never seen an episode:
