Well that looks…ni…no, nope. Can’t say it. No offence, Randy, but this is why I didn’t ask you on this occasion! ;) :)

I know. I hate the bilinguals and avoid them, too.

Aw, they got Dalmatians and AristoCats' titles wrong. :(

If Tangled was a 4K I might have been tempted…

Lovely oldtime special to celebrate 50 years…

Note: 1991 was the fiftieth anniversary of the *Burbank studio*, not Disney itself. Burbank was built with the proceeds from Snow White and started operations in 1941, as shown off in the full Reluctant Dragon feature when it was bright 'n' shiny 'n' new.

Great to have found this again, back from when Disney was itself feeling all bright 'n' shiny 'n' new itself. Lovely bits in there like the character parade and packed screening room (a bit cribbed from the original Disney/MGM tour) and DVD returning to the Poppins cafe. Grab some time, sit and enjoy this terrific little flashback:

Hope we get something similar for the 100th, but it won’t be as good, genuine or heartfelt.

10 Classic Shorts V2: Mickey & Friends slated for April 4th as a Disney100 DMC exclusive, probably a wide release two or three weeks later if the first one was any indication. Shorts:

Mr Duck Steps Out
Winter Storage
Pluto's Party
Pluto And The Gopher
Mickey's Trailer
Pluto's Sweater
Boat Builders
Tugboat Mickey
The Band Concert
Lonesome Ghosts

Shame so many repeats again from Celebrating Mickey, but at least they’re good ones. Sadly no Clock Cleaners or Moose Hunters, but at least Lonesome Ghosts.

Well, there's been recent hints from Iger that the new regime is seriously considering kicking Chapek's "It's all about D+!" out the door and re-embracing the fact that their bread is still buttered on parents buying Disney discs for their kids.

Until then, though, it's still "Donald & Goofy who? Oh, you mean Mickey's sidekicks!"

Hints? Iger has come blatantly right out and said this numerous times in the past several weeks, in terms of theatrical windows, home video and licensing content out to other parties and platforms before it finds an eventual home on D+, which is kind of how it should be, right?

I think he’s said it’s clear that subs are driven by people who just want "Disney content", new *and* old, and that having shiny new things on or off the streamer doesn’t make such a big difference to churning. I guess it essentially falls into two demographics: those that just want to keep up with all and everything Star Wars and Marvel, and something parents can shove on as the new babysitter. The rest of us are stuck in the middle, waiting for hours and hours of nostalgia to hopefully one day magically appear…

In the meantime, it is indeed discs for us! :)

Oh, my word! Not worth the potentially huge expense in importing this over, but that’s nicey!

TBH, and although it’s pretty obvious, I really didn’t see why they haven’t done the Disney1OO branding using Mickey's ears for the OOs.
