Who's Snoopy? Is that like a famous detective or something?

Yeah…just like we don’t recall the big stars of yesterdecades, "current" characters, films, actors, etc, will fade away too, and much faster than they used to. It’s "progress", apparently… :(

Unless you--gasp! Air on tv. Frosty and grinch are still some of the highest rated on networks every dec with tons of merch still. Charlie brown christmas used to be also before the canada company bought snoopy and apple gave them a big check to lock him behind a streaming app no one uses much.

Again shame.

At least they do give you the open access option. Better than we get here!

Somehow, I missed or forgot all the Peanuts ownership news the past few years. Having read up on it now, I see that the Canadian company (DHX) retains only a 41% share to Sony Music's 39%, with 20% being still with the Schulz family.

But yeah, a shame the specials are no longer on network television.

Good thing the dvd is cheap and vudu has it $2 disk to digital. Ironic you can't buy it otherwise digital as apple yanked them off to make you get their streaming app but the disk to digital slipped through the cracks and no one is going to tell them it's still there. Only way to get a handful of the specials digital as apple yanked them all. Movies are not part of apple deal. They are still for sale.

Vanilla flavored. With marshmallows.
While elsewhere in the store, PUMPKIN SPICE Cheerios and Chex are available?...

Makes sense. Next up: Apple buys Disney, just to get hold of The Peanuts Movie. ;)

Lining up the Peanuts Movie's writers and director is a step in the right direction... though, that last film was such a perfect "final Charlie Brown story," that I have no strong desire to go back to the well. But, I expect that the new film would be standalone, set during no particular time in the character's young lives.

But is it going to theatres as the 6th big screen peanuts film or is it just a tv movie.

Not clear yet, but I’d be surprised if they leave a cinema release on the table given the talent involved and precedent of the previous film. This doesn’t look like any kind of continuation, though, directly or indirectly, but I also hope it retains what makes Peanuts Peanuts because, as such so far, the log line sounds awfully generic.

On the other hand, apple opened up apple studios and plans to release many films to theatres, so it has a shot.
