I think this may be more marketing than synergy. When American Idol contestants got a sneak peak at The Simpsons Movie that was synergy as FOX owns the network and the film studio. Does Paramount/DreamWorks have any relationship with the show or studio? I bet this was more a paid commercial than synergy between different divisions of a company.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'll bet that it's part of the AI/Shrek deal that they have ongoing.

Sometimes, synergy can be exploited between two companies!

Wanna here something ironic? Today Mcdonald's is starting a new toy, and guess what it is? Yup, "American Idol"!

No, its not the actual characters, but little microphones, and what appears to be a toy ipod, wonder what that does?

Now Vi is gonna hate Mc!
