I don't think any of them had names in the movie, but in the 1970's comic book "The Aristokittens" the Russian cat was named Boris.

I just meant that Ichabod and Mr. Toad was also originally intended as a feature and never went to theaters.

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr Toad was released in theaters on October 5, 1949.

Yeah, I can't believe you didn't think <I>Ichabod And Mr Toad</I> didn't play theaters, Vi.

It was actually a fairly moderate hit, and definitely contiributed to Walt pushing ahead with Cinderella, which of course saved the studio at that point.

It's also not quite a "two-fer" in the same way <I>Fun And Fancy Free</I> was, which could arguably be called a "three-or-four-fer" since there are three/four sections to that movie: Jiminy's intro, Bongo, the part at Bergen's, and the Beanstalk story.

<I>Ichabod/Toad</I> was simply two stories brought together. Originally, the Toad segment was intended as a FULL feature, but the studio were not quite up to that yet, so it was paired with the Sleepy Hollow story. However, the film is total animation, without any "cheat" sections that the other Package Features have.

In fact, I can't think of ONE film that was ever intended to go to theaters and then wasn't, apart from "The Gremlins" which was probably the closest the studio ever got to publicly presenting completed material from a project that was later discarded.

BTW Raoul was played by Joel Silver, famous Hollywood producer. Zemeckis originally put him in there for a joke, since Eisner and Katzenberg both hated him. Neither of them recognized him, since he shaved his beard and wasn't credited for the role
