Library of Congress has added "Rainbow Connection" to its National Recording Registry. Congrats Paul Williams and Kenneth Ascher!

The Muppet Christmas Carol will be presented live in concert this winter across the UK. Neat!

I imagine it would be. Even if it isn't, still sounds like it would be worth it. Just to be surrounded with other people... providing things are more normal.

So weird this came up today...for some reason I was sorting my hair out this morning, thinking it needs a cut, and I started singing "There's magic in the hair, this evening, magic in the hair"...

Oh, the things I find myself doing to amuse myself...

Definitely NOT the sweetest dream, though. No wonder J.K. removed it from the film!

A Jim Henson biopic is in the works! Great news. Not a bad title. Would've loved "The Lovers, The Dreamers and Me" but of course that would never sell! ;)

This was an excellent script a few years back, and it’s neato that Disney and Henson are working together to make it, but for Heaven’s sake just make the script as was written; I fear the rewrites will homogenise everything that made it special and unexpected.

With Disney putting their own franchise name in the title, I think they want to put this on the Saving Mr. Banks/Mary Poppins Returns assembly line, for more stories about how adults couldn't get their life together until they learned to embrace their inner Disney character.
Or, in Jim's case, Kermit.

The Muppets are heading to the Haunted Mansion for their first-ever Halloween special!
“Muppets Haunted Mansion” takes place on Halloween night, when Gonzo is challenged to spend one very daring night in the most grim-grinning place on earth: The Haunted Mansion.

Yay! Exciting news! :D

I will watch in anticipation and await to be surprised and delighted, but at the moment this feels more than a little laboured and Dave, for the first time, sounds old, slightly bored, and lacking much energy. Well, someone's gotta say it...

But, yes, it’s good that things are being done with The Muppets.

Well, with Caroll Spinney now gone, Dave is the last surviving "real" performer.

(Except for fired Steve Whitmire, which is why they're doing Gonzo & Pepe instead of their usual 90's routine of Gonzo & Rizzo or Rizzo & Pepe.)
