It is very interesting and focuses mainly on the two men and their long friendship, but also includes lots of stuff about their work at Disney. It's well worth seeking out.

Neal, you couldn't find a review either (again)! Is it worth us having a search function on the front page or what!?

Everything you need to know is here:

And, yes. Buy it.

I don't understand what you're implying?! I went to AV and searched "Frank and Ollie" and there was five results, none a review for the film.

Are you saying I'm inept or the search function faulty?

I'm not saying a word!

But...firstly our search engine will always bring up more than just five options and, secondly, if you go to the advanced search and ask for "frank and ollie" while only selecting DVD Reviews, guess what comes up first choice?

Hmm, maybe it was my browser... it was acting funky last night with all my PDF files (I was applying to a college).

I didn't know there was an advanced search!

I guess sometimes you have to be enlightened before you can see. I am so used to advance search functions being right next to search functions. I never would have thought you have to search before being able to advance search. But now that I know, I won't make the same mistake ever again!

So ..

What's the story with the 'drab & dreary' cover art for the new Witch Mountain DVD releases.. :?:

They look like BBC murder-mystery dramas, or something. :?

Look! Look!

I can design new DVD cover art for "Walt Disney Family Classics," too ..!

I think the idea, as with the concurrent animated titles, is to give these films the unified Criterion look, in an attempt to make them come over as more "serious" collectors' archive type editions.

Very true that they're pretty uninspired though.

I actually like your Poppins cover, Droo. Certainly less busy than the current edition. ;)

The Mary Poppins one totally makes it look like a horror film.

Sita Sings The Blues is now out on DVD, guys.

Yes, you no longer have to watch it for free on the web.

You can buy it in 480p glory and help the filmmaker pay back the huge ball of debt she's in right now.

But seriously, no joke ---

The film is out on DVD now => http://www.newsarama.com/film/091221-Si ... Blues.html

And here's one of the sites selling it => http://questioncopyright.com/sita.html

(Edit: Above weblink IS the filmmaker's on-site store. Buy from here and she'll be getting the money as directly as possible.)

Nina Paley still has some serious change to pay back to the companies that hold the copyrights on the music she used...

P.S. - Europeans don't feel left out. If you don't have a converting DVD player, she's got the film for sale in PAL DVD format, too.

There's a $100 "special edition" DVD signed that she's selling from her on-site store. Not in my personal budget -- I'm broke(!) -- but maybe the better-off animation fans feel like making the donation??

It'll be in my next Amazon order!

To see that she gets the most money for it, though, one can purchase it from her own website:
