I predict that I will have my worst showing ever. I may even get zero right.

If I get more than 33% correct I'll be stoked. And even that is being generous as I wouldn't be surprised if I get 0 correct this year.

Vast majority went with Encanto for Best Animated Feature, while three people (myself included) went with Luca. Well, we underdogs have to look out for each other, right? ;)

I gave Belfast a lot of wins that it's probably not going to get, but gave them anyway because I really liked the movie.

I kind of miss the days of "one movie wins all the awards" of the 90s. Those were easy to predict.

This is the wonkiest Oscars for a while in terms of predictions. Even now I’m tempted to "redact" certain choices for others. In fact I know at least two that I know I’m wrong on, and one other that I think will go another way.

But them's the breaks…it could quite easily go the way I originally thought too!

Good news is that not subbing to a service to watch it panned out: one of the Sky premium channels here is showing it for "free", so I’ll be here for the chat after all! See you guys later!

We have a seven way tie in our Oscar contest! Congratulations to bill_peloquin, Bobbleheadbuddha, dnanni1, GeorgeMonkey, instlouis, jwvaughn007, and StevenB606 who each got 20 out of the 21 scored categories correct!

While all will be recorded as champions for this year, only one can take home the prize. The first tie-breaker (as outlined in the rules) is "whichever contestant got the most animation related categories (defined here as Best Animated Feature, Best Animated Short, and Best Visual Effects) correct is the winner".

Only one of the seven got all three right. So congratulations to prize winner bill_peloquin! I will contact you very soon to confirm your information so your prize can be sent out.

Four of the seven winners won in previous years. Bobbleheadbuddha is our second three-time winner (2009, 2012, 2022). The others are now two time winners: GeorgeMonkey (2014, 2022), instlouis (2014, 2022), and jwvaughn007 (2018, 2022).

Our staff winner was Ben, with 19 out of 21 right.

Thanks to everyone who played!
