It would have to do with a lack of binocular vision ("stereoblindness"), due to having a weak eye or trouble with eye alignment. So, you may be both colorblind and stereoblind.

Well I just did that test and I have learnt that I most likely have some form of stereoblindness, in my right eye apparently. It would explain the headaches I got with the 3D glasses then haha. And no way am I telling my students about this discovery, they struggle to understand that colourblindness does not mean I see the world in greyscale.

It would explain, though, why the teacher keeps bumping into things. :)

Randall wrote: March 14th, 2021, 2:58 pm Y'know what? Best 3D disc for a modern movie? Thunder and the House of magic. Really. Now THAT is some fun 3D. I've always said, if you don't do pop-out effects, then there's not a lot of point to doing a film in 3D. The 1950s films largely got it right. In Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Creature reaches right out of the screen to grab you. Even walking through the bog, I was ducking branches.
Or House of Wax, where Charles Bronson seems to pop up out of your living room to fight the hero in the climax.

Seriously, if you want to see home-theater pop-out, check out Kino Lorber's "The Bubble":
The movie was a homemade $1.98 mess, but there's one scene where a drunk imagines a tray of beer glasses in a bar levitating and flying up a foot away from your @#$%in' NOSE.
(The scene also shows up in Flicker Alley's "3-D Rarities, Vol. 2", which also contains a fun Mexican-made 3D swashbuckler.)
(We actually viewed Little Mermaid 3D last night. The "View Master" effect is fun, but from now on, I'll stick to the 2D.
Lion King 3D was slightly better (3-D better, that is), when Zazu comes flying out of the back of the theater to Pride Rock during the "Circle of Life" number.

I just watched The Bubble a few weeks ago, actually, and it did have good 3D, though the story would have been better as a half-hour Twilight Zone. I have all of the Kino/3D Film Archive releases, and am a big fan of their efforts. (God help me, I even bought The Stewardesses to keep my collection complete.) I grabbed all of Twilight Time's 3D releases, and Flicker Alley's Rarities discs, too.

You didn’t buy The Stewardesses for the 3D, Rand. For the 33DD yes, but not just 3D... ;)

Adjusted for inflation, Gone With The Wind created the $3bn club years ago. In fact it currently stands at around $3.5bn in theatrical grosses!
