Finally! I was wondering what was holding up the show, since Warner previously put out a single episode in one of their 1970s cartoon sets, a few years ago. This show was one of Filmation's high points, and its omission from DVD season sets has been glaring.

Knew you'd like that news! I can't wait to see it again. Around the same time as S:TM, this was a highlight of the week, running around 5:30 in the evenings here on the BBC. Childhood nostalgia personified!

Yeah, when I saw it I immediately thought it looked off-model--- too much hair, and the pose is too dynamic for Filmation! Still, nice looking cover. It will be great to see these again.

Plus, New Adv. Of Gilligan is coming out right away, and we recently got The Brady Kids (with Superman, Wonder Woman, and Lone Ranger cameos!) from Paramount. My remaining Filmation dreams are coming true. ;)

Unless those cameos are blocked by studio rights, like Warner had some of Scooby-Doo's cameo guests blocked by Paramount/Viacom.

". My remaining Filmation dreams are coming true."

Still need the fat albert pilot special, dick diget special, daffy duck meets the groovie goolies, mush, and a few more to complete filmation. Plus the flash gorden greatest adventure of all movie.

What a terrible cash-in! Never heard of this but as an Evel fan of the era (yes, I even have the so-bad-it's-good Viva movie on DVD) I'm completely suckered in by the WTF appeal - sold! :D

And, while there's little point in doing a daredevil show in animation, who *doesn't* need a little extra "undocumented child immigrants and satanic rock idols" action in their frothy Saturday morning cartoons...!?

Hulk Finn? :? ("Finn strongest there is, I reckon!")

But seriously, "New Adventures of Huck Finn" was one of the vocal fan Holy Grails since Warner first announced they were doing classic H-B on real disk.
Only reason it took so long is back when they were still selling them on mainstream shelves (sigh...), and they didn't know whether to still consider it part of the Banana Splits series. And they did face some serious internal questions about whether Huck was worth the entire effort of doing that.
I'd even theorize it was the Splits, not the Smurfs, that finally pushed the H-B boxsets into the Archive.

Though I'd read about this series before, the true nature of it hadn't sunk in.

THIS LOOKS CRAZY. Wow, I am excited for this release!
