Oh, and the idea to put Metallo and Braniac in the sequel is a great one, so I hope that's what gets done.
I love that idea too!
Lex Luthor managed to somehow plant a story about Krypton's remains in the news so Superman would see it and go to investigate, hence the five year absence ('cause Krypton's not just across the street, ya know).
I still think Superman would realize that Earth's scientists have limited capacitites and technology (especially compared to his people's technology) and not leave Earth even for five months for a "hunch" like that. (and believing it just because he reads it in the newspapers? Does anyone believe half of what they read in the newspapers?

)
And even if it was proven 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt that there were remains of Krypton scattered around somewhere out there, I still don't think he'd leave Earth--especially for five years--just to check it out. Earth is his home, and THAT'S where his loyalties lie. He knows how much Earth needs him, and that sometimes you have to sacrifice things for others even if it means losing out on something for yourself. (A lesson Spidey could teach him--remember: "With great power comes great responsibility"

)
Peter wanted Mary Jane more than anything but he
was willing to give her up, and face all the dangers and sacrifices of what it means to be Spiderman. Like Aunt May said: "That's what a hero is."
And remember that line in Bats Begins: "It's not what you think that counts--it's what you do that defines you."

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!
