I do have to agree that that trail left me less enthused than before. I’m still up for it, but would probably have waited either way anyway.

Between the teasers and the trailer, I remain completely baffled. What a weird movie!

Sometimes, though, they can be the best ones!

A look at Barbie's Dreamhouse:

Absolutely gorgeous. Love that they preserved the imagination driven look and feel of the real toy! The closet simulating the clothing packaging, the pool being one big sticker, the background looking like the display picture on the box, the plasticky texture of it all! Pure genius. :D

Still not really seeing Gosling as Ken, but he’s growing on me.

Gosling was a very weird choice. I just don't see it. But he does have pipes!

Ryan addressed similar criticism:
I was surprised by how people were clutching their pearls about my Ken as if they ever thought about Ken for a second! They never cared about Ken! They never played with Ken, no one plays with Ken… he’s an accessory.
Aside from Toy Story 3, he kinda has a point. ;)

But I think TS3 *is* the point. Ken has already been done on film perfectly.

True, I have no real horse in the Ken race. But Ken was a brunette when I was a kid, and that bleached blonde look is the worst since Freddie played Fred.

A look at some of the merch:

Saw a few in person the other day at Target. I don't collect dolly's, but they're very nice.

You should collect your own dollies. Not Dolly's dollies. ;)
