One thing I think has been missing from attention during this buildup is really Joyce's amazing book. It's available in a new hardcover edition for the film, with something like 6 new beautiful illustrations.

Pick up the book. It's really spoiler-free, since the book is just the jumping-off-point for the movie.

Chicken little got really bad reviews as well, It wasn't that good but better then the reviews let me believe

Eh, I honestly didn't like Chicken Little at all. I have hopes for this one though, but I might wait for the second-run theater if it gets less than enthusastic reviews. It does seem to be getting better feedback than Chick Lit so far, though...

Yeah I read the empire review last week and once again they've proven why their reviews suck.

Case in point... They said barnyard had good animation. 'Nuff said.
