New Disney toons

Post by PixarVixen »

Is it me or are Disney's newest cartoons really bad, like Brandy and Mr. Whiskers? The only one I even care to watch anymore is Lilo & Stitch the series but only because I'm a sucker for Stitch. And Dave the Barbarian is also funny, but nothing like the toons they had on years ago. I dunno. I'm just a little disappointed these days.

I remember when I was little and watched the Disney Channel nonstop back when they had Gummi Bears and Rescue Rangers and all the other great shows. I even liked that show Lunchbox that featured all kinds of animated shorts. Anyone remember that one?

I'll agree that Disney Channels' shows aren't very good at all...Except for Kim Possible, anyway. Their live-action shows are even worse.

*sigh* I just wish they'd show classic Disney shorts on the Toon channel again. :( Or Vault Disney. Or that "music video" show that had clips of cartoons with modern songs. I forget the name.

Do they even still show Aladdin and Hercules??

Here's how I see it:

Kim Possible = Fantastic show
Everything else except the movies turned into shows = either allright or kinda bad
Movies turned into shows, AKA, The emporer's new school = utter garbage

Lilo & Stitch is awful I think.

I miss the old "Disney afternoon" :(

Lilo and Stitch isn't that bad. My favorite episode of the ones that I've seen is the one where Pleakly's family comes to visit and Pleakly has to pretend that he and Nani are married at the same time Lilo is after a lie-detection experiment. Pure comedy gold.

Pleakly ALWAYS being dressed like a woman gets really creepy and boring after a while. It's funny in the movie, becuase it's just for the movie, and not the whole movie. But every single episode he's dressed like a woman and he starts to get on my nerves.

I love Jumba do death though. His voice is great.

Today's Disney shows just suck and yes, that includes Kim Possible and Jake Long, they only good ones are Dave the Barbarian, Lilo and Stitch: The Series, and The Legend of Tarzan.

I know they don't show the classic shorts on the Disney Channel, but they don't even show them on Toon Disney? I don't have that channel, but, still, that sucks! Now I don't know where to go to see those.

Disney Channel isn't that bad. I mean, I don't watch most of the shows for whatever reason, but many of them are popular with other people.

And "Lilo & Stitch" rocks. :)

actually i think that Jake longs plot is kinda cool. i dont like charecter jake though, he is so anoying! I just hope the replacements is good. I did not like dave the barbarian and i think that brandy and mr. wiskers is ok... one of those shows that you watch when absoloutley nothing else is on.
Kim possible though is absoloutley amazing. i love it.
