Enchanted will not count. Monster House will.

My guesses, at this very early stage, is that we'll have five noms, with Cars, Over The Hedge, Ice Age 2 among them.

I think the last spots will be something perhaps not released yet. Is Meet The Robinsons still on track for this Christmas? If so, then that will be in the running, possibly with Flushed Away due to Aardman's winning streak and DreamWorks' publicity.

Meet the Robinsons is coming out in 2007, and I think Enchanted is as well.

Cars and Over the Hedge are shoe-ins for the nomination, IMHO.

Cars
Ice Age 2
Over the Hedge
Happy Feet
*wild card* (The Wild, Flushed Away, Monster House in that order)

and I really think we have enough for 5 nominees this year :)

Yes, def 5 noms this year.

Enchanted - whenever out (and it IS '07 as Meg says) - will not be eligible. With Robinsons also that year, then based on the weight of the studios involved I make it look like this:

Cars
Over The Hedge
Ice Age 2
Happy Feet
Flushed Away

What, no "Open Season"? Not that I'm saying that film is a sure-fire nomination or anything. But you never know for sure.

I actually don't think that Over The Hedge will be nominated, the more I think about it...

Hmmm......there are so many this year! :)

Cars

Doogal (not too likely)
Flushed Away

Open Season
Happy Feet
Monster House (does it even qualify?)

Have I missed anything?

You missed Ant Bully. :)

Cars will probably nab it, and besides maybe OtH, the other films this year don't look too amazing.

I think it's between Cars, Over the Hedge, The Wild, and Flushed Away.

The Wild won't win. Plain and simple.

Over the Hedge probably doesn't have a big chance either.

So it's really between Cars and Flushed Away. While I'd like Cars to win, I wouldn't place a bet on it.

I think Over the Hedge has a better chance than you might think. It was reviewed pretty well, and has some social commentary to it as well.

(Right now I'm in the lounge typing and two other people are watching Madagascar on the big T.V. They really like it. )

As big of a Pixar fan as I am, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually had to decide for a while between Cars, Over The Hedge, and possibly Ice Age 2 (which you also forgot to list ;)).

Cars was riveting, clever, and lovable.

Over The Hedge was hilarious and cute.

And Ice Age 2, I can't say much about yet because I've only been able to see bits and pieces of it at work. So far, I'm lovin' it.

And all 3 were beautifully animated and featured an awesome array of characters in breathtaking environments.

But in the end, Cars won me over. Going to the World Premiere really made the film extra special to me. :)
