"Uncle's killer is still at large?" - didn't he confront him in the first one, or am I missing something???
A little worried that this looks to contain some samey action, shots and scenes as seen in part 2, and I hope they don't go with the mask-off approach too much just to accommodate Tobey's "star power". They handled it well in the second, but if he's going to walk around with the mask off too much then it's not really Spidey. But they look to have the comic book/real world balance right again. Oooooohh!!
Isn't Thomas Hayden Church supposed to be the killer in this one and becomes Sandman or whatever he's called. That's how the trailer portrays it at least, and he def wasn't in Spidey 1.
From what I understand, both "Carjaker" (Michael Papajohn) and Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church) approached Uncle Ben. However, Marko ran away. The other guy stole the car.
Here are some photos from the filming of the scene, hosted by WireImage.
Ahhh, so they haven't made a mistake. Hopefully an "alternate version" flashback. I'd hate if they tried to "insert" TH Chirch into a scene where he did not play the character in the original.
I need to watch the first Spidey again!
Man, does THC look lean and mean in this. He really lost that weight and bulked up after Sideways.
I still wonder if Willem Defoe will make another cameo appearance!

I also share that concern, but I think they're aware of it...hopefully they won't do it as much as before.
In the last scenes of Spidey 1 his mask at least was only half-ripped off.....
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!
...cause Tobey didn't have the billing and negotiating power he has now.
See how more we saw of his face in Spidey 2? That's cause actors don't like playing masked superheroes! The reason Batman Returns was more Bruce-orientated and he rips the mask off at the end? Keaton wanted to be "seen".
Just as Mission: III was a good actioner, it was mostly a lot of Cruise close-ups, and with Tobey now calling the shots in the same way, I hope this remains a Spidey movie and not The Tpbey Maguire In A Spidey Outfit Movie.
