You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

I'll catch it whenever I can.

Saw AWE yesterday, and it was as high as the expectations are.

some strange things to note: The Davy Jones Locker scene is VERY WEIRD, but fun, I think that those who hates Cannibal Island in DMC will hate this one too.
Calypso transformation may ba too much ( cf Sandman in the SP3 climax).

But as for the rest: pure entertainment !
SFX top notch, Barbossa rules, Chow Yun Fat could have a longer role, Keith Richards ROCKS (wait til you see Jack's mother :D), the final battle scene is long enough to appreciate all the details, the ouverture is very dark (with the new theme song Hoist the colors - chilling!), the Singapoure battle at the beginning is a real blast (all hails to Jack the monkey!).

As for the end, without spoiling you, I'm sure there will be another movie with Sparrow, Barbossa etc... But as for Will & Elizabeth, their story has come to an end, full circle.

LOTS of surprises, can't tell you more, see it for yourself first.

As many of my colleagues here at AN&V won't confirm (!), I might have seen this last Friday... ;)

Had I seen it then, I would probably agree with what Kinoo says above.

But I'm not saying I saw it, or anything... ;)

So what you really saying is that you could have seen it, but really couldn't say for sure.

Just went to the store and bought the soundtrack. It's very nice. I can tell this film is going to be an epic. There are a few recurring themes throughout the soundtrack, however there are no tracks like "The Kraken", "Jack Sparrow" and "Davy Jones" from the Dead Man's Chest soundtrack that really grab you. There are moments in some of them but it's not the whole track. However, I'm only just over half way through.

UPDATE: The last couple of songs on the album are the best. Very epic. Makes me sad to see pirates go actually.

I agree with everything you said. And yes, Jacks mother was the best part of the whole film.

The whole Keith Richards scene definitely felt like the ride. More "pirate-y" than anything in the last two films. He was aweomse.

I agree that the Locker scene might have gone a little too far with a gag that sounds fun on paper and I agree those who did not like DMC for those reasons are unlikely to enjoy AWE.

oh and a tiny note, I was probaply one of the few who loved Tia Dalma's transformation scene. Felt like a homage to classic asventure films and Disney animated transformations. You'll see what I mean when you see it.
