Mel "Use the Schwartz!" Brooks turns 83 today.

Go rent or watch one of his movies -- preferrably anything made between 1967 and 1981. Tell me Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, and The Producers (the original, NOT the remake!) aren't classics.

And yes, Gene Wilder starred in all three films!

Coincidence? I think not!

Ray "King of Stop Motion" Harryhausen is 89 today!

While he's retired from slaying skeleton warriors and last fought Krakens and gorgons, he's still actively discussing his career and promoting a second look at his animated shorts.

Long live King Harry!

Celebrating Birthdays today --

"Indy, cover your heart! He'll rip out your pacemaker!" =>
Short Round after learning Indy was still chasing relics long after he should have retired.

Harrison "Indy Solo" Ford turns 67 today and is grouchier than ever...

Patrick "Don't Call Me Jean-Lucy Ricardo" Stewart turns 69. His Lifeforce is being drained out after First Contact in L A Story... He was bald BEFORE he became associated with the X-Men! Shaving with Excalibur will do that to you...

Man has he been in a lot of genre films!

Today's super-birthdays!

Rosemary Harris, Aunt May from the Spider-Man movies, turns 82 today! Honestly, I don't think she looks over 62 to me...

Turning 81 years young today is the Caped Crusader himself, Adam West! Mr. West hasn't been more popular than he is now and it's great to see that he's still crazy after all these years... But seriously, he's a good guy and say hi to him if you ever see him.

Mickey Rooney turns 89 years young today!

You're a veritable icon Mickey and quite a character.

You've contributed something quite unique in each decade of your livelihood from Andy Hardy to Lampie in Pete's Dragon to "Fallout Boy" on The Simpsons!

The only woman to successfully terminate Ah-Nold, Linda Hamilton, turns 53 today.

Olivia Newton-John, wonderfully animated by the Bluth Studios in "Xanadu", is still "Physical" and reliving her "Summer Nights" at age 61.

Happy birthday, ladies! Love your work!

He had one of the most distinctive voices in showbiz... Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979-1981) was one of many TV series he did the opening narration for.

... And yet he was known almost as well for his girth in his later years.

Dubbed "the Fatman" of Jake and the Fatman, William Conrad would have been 89 today.

And, of course, there was Rocky and Bullwinkle, as well as The Lone Ranger!

Conrad was THE Lone Ranger in the 1980 Filmation Tarzan/Lone Ranger series???

As a kid, The Ranger was one of my favorite characters. Now, not so much, but I did watch the Clayton Moore color TV series in reruns as well as the 1980 animated series.

As for Rocky & Bullwinkle, I would never have guessed he was in that show. His voice hadn't matured enough from cigars by that point in time...

Turning 60 today and still looking good, Futurama's "Planet Express" Ship Computer, Sigourney Weaver.

From alien @$$-@%@%@$! to psychotic computer, she has literally played characters from one end of the galaxy to the other.

Hail to the Queen!
